INSPIRING: GRETCHEN RUBIN

Today was my cleaning/organizing day at home and I must say I did a very wonderful job!!! I love the feeling of being able to walk into a clean organized room. It makes me happy and everyone else around you feels better. Growing up my mom use to always say "The first thing you want to do when you wake up is make your bed and get ready even if you are not going to go anywhere". Well I use to do that all the time before but when I was diagnosed with PPD well let's just say a lot of things that I was use to doing since a very young age weren't enjoyable they were more of a hazzle. So instead I would just let it all get messy. As I got better I tried to get back to my old habits but something that definetely changed was that my problem with cleaning became more of a very detailed cleaning. In other words I would take 2 hours in one room. Lol!!! My husband calls it my "Over Compolsiveness" but then I think use to always be like that...
Well I read an article today that really inspired me and made me remember of all the happiness a clean & organized home can bring to you. So thanks, Gretchen Rubin for inspiring me and reminding me this morning to want to make my house clutter free!!!
Rubin is one of the newest additions to the Good Housekeeping family and Best-Selling Author to THE HAPPINESS PROJECT!!! I am definetely going to be getting my copy to this amazing book.
