This is probably the easiest flan recipe you will
find out there. Believe me I checked and it doesn't
get any easier then this.
What i do is I put the 6 eggs in the Kitchen aid mixer
for about 10 minutes, believe me it makes the flan
fluffier and puffier (I don't think this are cooking
technical words) lol. If you don't have a fancy mixer
then use a fork and beat away.
Then you proceed to adding the cans of condensed milk
little by little . Then you add the cans of evaporated
milk, the 2 teaspoons of vanilla for flavor keep mixing and Tada!!! your flan mixture is done. That was easy right!!!
Now here is the kinda tricky part.
In a pan you are going to place the sugar, then you
are going to turn the heat to High the sugar
will eventually become like runny syrup in texture.
Make sure you keep your eye on it so it does not burn.
I usually move it around with a wooden spoon till is
in the texture I wanted it.
You are going to place this Sugar Syrup in a
cooking metal or glass mold. Then try to move it
around so it spread all through the surface, the sugar
will not stay in this syrup like state forever.
When it cools down then you add the Flan mixture
which was previously done on top of it.
Put it in the oven for about
1 Hour at 350 degrees.
There is also a trick call BaƱo Maria, which I
use to make my flan rise and no decrease in size
in the process. You place this mold of Flan inside
another of course bigger mold filled half way with
water. It works every time I try it.
When the flan is done, I take it out of the oven,
I let it cool on its own for about 1 Hour, then
I placed it on the fridge for 3 Hours. Then i flipped
it upside down unto a tray. I usually topped it off
with fruit slices such as strawberries, kiwi, peaches and sprinkle some coconut on top. or sometimes I just place raspberries on each slice. Here you can give it your
own touch. Even make a design on top with melted chocolate.
I Really hope you enjoy this Recipe.
