we are 5 days away from Halloween and still haven't gotten the kiddies customes...
drake wants to be a zombie which will be really easy to find or make. i look forward to doing the fun and creepy zombie makeup
(last year he decided to be something he had always been scared of "CHUCKY")
YES CHUCKY THE SCARY LOOKING DOLL...
NO...he has never watched the movie
NO... I would't let him watch the movie
YES...lets go back 2 years ago, he asked me one day who Chucky the doll was so i asked WHY??? he responded
by saying, "MY FRIEND TOLD ME ABOUT HIM" you could tell the little guy was already scared :(
Then he asked to see a picture of him, i said "NO" the first 2 times, then he asked again, I thought for a minute if I show him a picture of what a silly little doll he is he won't think about it and he will know that its all pretend and its just a movie
I said "OK, I'LL SHOW YOU DRAKE" thinking its a good mommy thing to do...
next thing i know i googled chucky and a scary image of chucky comes up not what I was really
trying to show him
so he kind of got scared and started crying...
since that day every time we would walk by the movie sections at the store Chucky was there, drake would start crying
and he use to have the most horrible nightmares... i know sad.
So last year when halloween came and it was time to decide what he wanted to be for halloween
he said "I WANT TO BE CHUCKY MOM"
he explained to me why and then i realized that if it was the only way for him to get over his own fear
then why not...
WE HAD SUCH A GOOD TIME TOGETHER, MAKING HIS COSTUME DOING HIS MAKEUP AND THEN WATCHING HIM GET OVER HIS FEAR KNOWING IT WAS ALL PRETEND!!!
