GOOD OLD FASHIONED GAMES!!!

it is officially "Spring Break" for us
I've been extremely busy this week by far
with getting things prepared for "Teacher Appreciation Week" with our PTA at school.
we had "Tool Day" yesterday!!!
Mr. Hubs was awesome and went to 4 different
classrooms with little drake!!!
(he definitely loved showin' off his daddy)

now, not only is "Spring Break" going on this next few days.
we also have "Easter Sunday" and "Earth Day"
WHICH I STILL HAVE TO PLAN FOR...

so here is a few little ideas that you can do with your little monkeys that love
to sit and play video games/watch tv/or be on the computer all day long...

i HONESTLY LOVE SOME GOOD OLD FASHION GAMES.
1ST... EVERYONE CAN PLAY THEM
2ND... THEY DON'T COST ANYTHING
3RD... LOTS, LOTS, LOTS OF FUN!!!

TEACH YOUR LITTLE ONES SOME FUN OLD FASHION GAMES

"MARBLES"

i REMEMBER PLAYING MARBLES AS A VERY YOUNG CHILD, WHEN I LIVED IN PERU!!! IT WAS DEFINETELY ONE OF THOSE GAMES THAT YOU ACTUALLY NEEDED TO CONCENTRATE, BE HONEST & NO MATTER WHO WON YOU HAD A BLAST!!!

HOW TO PLAY IT: THEIR IS LOTS OF DIFFERENT GAMES THAT YOU CAN PLAY WITH MARBLES, THAT WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THEM!!!
THE WAY WE PLAY IT AT OUR HOUSE IS BY GETTING A REALLY THIN STRING AND MAKING IT INTO A CIRCLE, DEPENDING WHO MAKES IT INSIDE THAT CIRCLE THE MOST WINS!!!

JUST IGNORE THE MESSINESS AND THE DIRTY SOCKS... LOL!!!

"i SPY"

This game is so fun to play expecially when you are out taking a walk, just relaxing at home with your family or in the car!!!

How to play it: One person starts by choosing an object (a cow, for example) and says "I spy with my little eye, something beginning with C" or simply "I spy something beginning with C." The other players look around and suggest things it might be: "Crow" (no), "Car" (no), "Cloud" (no), "Cow" - yes. The person who guesses correctly often gets to choose the next object.

When played in a car, the group playing may need to decide beforehand what to do about items that are no longer visible (the field with the cows is a mile back - usually permitted but the person choosing the object has to say "I can't see it any more" and "I can see it now"). Sometimes items within the car are excluded.

"Red light/Green light"

The first time I played this game was when I came to the united states & i loved it so much!!! It's a great listening game and teaches the little ones about what red/green/yellow lights mean
when it comes to traffic!!!

HOW TO PLAY IT: The "it" person stands at one end of the playing field, with the rest of the players at the other end. "It" turns their back to the others and calls out "Green light!" The players then run as fast as they can towards "it". At any time, "it" can face the players, calling out "Red light", and the others must freeze in place. If anyone fails to stop, they are out or must return to the starting line. Other variations include calling out "Yellow light" as a diversion, or where they must walk instead of run to "it". Calling Yellow Light has no consequence. The first player to reach the person who is "it" wins and becomes "it" for the next round. In certain regions this game may be known as "sneak up on granny"; in this version the person who is "it" is the "granny", and does not call out "red light" or "green light".

"Simon says"
How to play it: It's a three or more player game. One player takes the role of 'Simon' and issues instructions, (usually physical actions such as 'jump in the air' or 'stick out your tongue') to the other players, which should only be followed if prefaced with the phrase 'Simon says', for example 'Simon says jump in the air'.
The object for the player acting as 'Simon' is to get all the other players 'out' as quickly as possible, and the winner of the game is usually the last player who has successfully followed all of the given commands.
